| Bella Mama stocks the best selection in the UK of fabulous dual purpose maternity and breastfeeding tops. Our clothing is from top designers who know how to dress new mothers stylishly and comfortably.
Bella Mama was inspired by the birth of my second baby, who arrived in March 2007. As a breastfeeding mum I struggled to find pretty but practical nursingwear in the UK. Before I set up Bella Mama, the range of nursing tops available in the UK were so disappointing, frumpy mumsy fashion, with rows of poppers, flaps and zips that virtually announced "breastfeeding happening here"! There was nothing stylish or fashionable which allowed breastfeeding mothers to feed easily without exposing their chest, tummies or backs.

| After extensive research with breastfeeding mothers and a trip to the USA, Australia and Singapore to meet with talented maternity and nursingwear designers, I sourced a wonderful selection of contemporary breastfeeding clothing which was unavailable in the UK. In June 2007 I launched Bella Mama, with the aim of offering the best selection of dual purpose maternity and breastfeeding tops from one online store. My aim is to provide fabulous, fashionable nursingwear which will allows new breastfeeding mums to feel confident and stylish whilst providing their baby with the best start in life.

| Some new mums can feel self conscious breastfeeding in public, which is where well designed breastfeeding clothing can really help. These tops are designed to allow you to breastfeed easily, with stretchy fabrics which can be pulled aside to allow nursing access. Different styles of tops give different nursing access – from crossovers which pull over, double layered tops with vertical nursing openings, horizontal access under the empire line, access through oversized armholes, to simple modesty panels – ensuring that there is something to suit every nursing mother. Breastfeeding tops allow simple nursing access, whilst details such as pretty ruching, shirring and flowing fabric giving a flattering fit on post-natal figures.

| I believe that if mothers feel comfortable and confident nursing whenever and wherever they choose, they will breastfeed for longer. I am thrilled by the feedback from my customers who are delighted with the stylish clothing they have from Bella Mama, and who experience the difference well designed nursingwear has made to them whilst breastfeeding in front of friends, family and whilst out and about. Stylish nursing wear really helps us challenge the perception of breastfeeding as frumpy, and I am delighted that Bella Mama is making breastfeeding fashionable.
