| Bella Mama was inspired by the birth of my gorgeous second baby, who arrived in March 2007. I am now combining my role as mum to two beautiful children with running Bella Mama and a busy household!!
During my pregnancy I spent a lot of time searching the internet for gorgeous and unique things which would help me feel comfortable, stylish and fab in my role as a mum! I found so many lovely things, lots of them handcrafted by other work at home mums, which inspired me to open my boutique site offering fabulous items for other new mums.

| As a breastfeeding mum it was hard to find clothes that were easy to nurse in without exposing my post-baby tummy. I didn't want to wear unflattering shapeless t-shirts every time I ventured beyond my own front door. The range of nursing shirts available were so disappointing - rows of poppers, flaps and zips that virtually announced "breastfeeding happening here"!
I needed clothing for my fourth trimester that highlighted my new-found curves in a positive way, but skimmed over the parts I wasn't so happy with. I wanted to feel feminine and gorgeous in my role as a mummy, without looking frumpy or (dreaded word!) mumsy!!

Trousers and skirts that would suit my curvier figure and were not so tight they would leave me with a huge muffin top! I also wanted fabulous baby products that would bring a smile to my face during my days at home with my newborn baby.
